About

Member of Northlands Storytelling Network

Patricia Nunn has been working with children and families for over two decades.  She worked as the children’s librarian at the Detroit Lakes, MN  Public Library for 15 years where she discovered her love of sharing stories with children of ALL ages!  Nunn operates her own business, Spice of Life, which includes storytelling performances as well as storytelling workshops for all ages and early literacy workshops for parents and child care providers.

What’s with all the carnival imagery?  Nunn spent much of her childhood traveling with a small, family-owned carnival.  She traveled throughout Minnesota,  North and South Dakota during the summer.  Many of her stories revisit those times and reflect on the humor and distinct flavor of small town life.

Nunn has appeared several times at the Linda McGuire Storytelling Festival and has coordinated the Sharing the Tradition of Storytelling Festival in her hometown of Frazee, MN for seven years.

Live radio show with Master Storyteller, Michael Cotter

A program with Spice of Life will include traditional folk tales as well as original stories “From the Road.”  In addition to sharing stories in the oral tradition, Nunn brings stories to life with music and movement as well as string and paper folding stories.  Her favorite age group for an audience is 0 to 110!
